Disaster Recovery:

Traditionally during periods of server downtime, access to and restoration of email services was low on the agenda, but as email becomes more essential to business and as demands upon it increase, the restoration priority within the Disaster Recovery Plan are critical.

With EnableTS’s Disaster recovery modules for email is “always on” and recovery of email is instantaneous, all from within the cloud. The system can be bespoked to either include only Internet Travelling Email or both Internal and Internet Travelling Email.

Furthermore, the length of time the Provider decides to keep the mail for can be directly related to an increase in incremental revenue providing “premium” or “upgrade” type options for the customer base.

 

Image Scanning:
Image content on email is now regarded as a major threat to corporate customers. Increasingly end users are seeking ‘end to end’ security solutions. This module provides an image management solution which effectively addresses the threat of illicit image attachments.

It allows corporations to enforce their email acceptable use policy at the gateway allows businesses to control the transference of illicit images through the cloud. This module allows the provider to offer its user base the option to enforce the acceptable use of email policy and ensures that the email system is not to be used for the distribution of pornographic content. Pornography continues to travel in and out of the email system hidden within a mass of legitimate business images. These pornographic images constitute a real threat to the business with the risk of legal liability, sexual harassment lawsuits, damaged company image and reputation. The engine scans the composition of every image travelling through the email gateway to determine if it is pornographic in nature. It uses sophisticated real time composition analysis to reliably distinguish between pornographic and non pornographic images.

 
 

IP Reputation Service:
With botnets being responsible for the source of 85% of all spam on the internet, it is important to indentify these sources in real-time. The EnableTS IP reputation service uses real-time information from our global network to collect information about spam sending hosts on the internet. Information is collected and analysed through a number of algorithms to determine the current status of the host. While the host is actively sending out spam it remains at a high threat level in the EnableTS database,  as the trends change the thread level changes in real-time.

The IP reputation service is an excellent way of removing or slowing down vast amounts of email from the flow before it hits your in house systems, allowing a more efficient mail flow process. With 85% of the mail flow potentially being removed from the equation, providers are able to add more users to their own systems and process mail more quickly, as well as rely on the IP reputation service to flag mail that is spam with near zero false positives.

 
 

Modular Reporting:
Reporting on email security and email flow is a key part of any organisations management reports these days and the EnableTS reporting module gives both the provider and the end user some extremely useful matrix to report against. The reporting module allows the provider, or the end user’s administrator, to create a set of management reports that can be emailed in XML or PDF at regular intervals or just created manually so that the time taken to pull down email security or mail flow information is reduced to virtually nothing.

The reports can be custom created and designed to give a specific provider either a value add advantage or a market advantage in their sector. Standard reports such as mail sent or received by user, spam to specific domains or users and top talkers can be drawn down easily. More complex reports such as bandwidth used by user or domain, storage utilization by user, company or domain and even mail flow by country can be pulled out. With the EnableTS reporting module, the information is at your fingertips and can be pulled down specific to the Providers’ requests.

 
 

Relationship Engines:
Valuable information is passed through the Cloud every second and, if analysed, Providers can vastly increase the efficiency of their own in-house solutions. By integrating the EnableTS Relationship Engines, Providers can start to add intelligence to their already existing solutions whether they be completely in-house design or even those deploying Spam Assassin, for example.

The nature of the EnableTS modules is that they will integrate with almost any platform, be they an off the shelf solution or a totally in-house built solution.

 
 

Spam Filtering:
Having evolved from text and image based spam, Spammer’s techniques have become more complex and their SPAM is now distributed by an ever increasing network of worldwide botnets, and with a growing reliance on social engineering to attract user attention.

These huge botnet networks put the computing power of millions of zombie PCs at the disposal of spammers, while Harvest Directory and Denial of Service attacks are also on the rise putting increased pressure on employees, networks, servers and available bandwidth.

Our Anti-Spam Module counters the spam threat and provides 99.98% Spam detection by using multiple threat level engines which look at not only the content of the mail, but also built relationship patterns in the cloud to help us achieve our near zero false positive record.
